Are your bow ties self-tie?

Yes, every single bow tie we make is self-tie (even if you see them tied on the website and on social media). We use specific type of hook and slide that allows them to be adjusted to your neck size.

My bow tie arrived and it is pre-tied! Did you not just say they are self-tie?

Yes, our bow ties are delivered tied, so you know exactly what it is supposed to look like. This also means you can just put it on right away when it's delivered, avoiding any last minute panic. But you can also untie it, and tie it again, as many times as you wish.


I want to learn how to tie it myself, do you have a how-to video you recommend?

I want a bow tie without an adjuster, can you make one?

Yes, we offer a bespoke service for what we call fixed length bow ties, made to your neck size. Please contact us directly on WhatsApp or by email to discuss.

When would you recommend wearing a fixed length bow tie?

You should wear a fixed length bow tie if you are wearing a wing collar (for white tie, or black tie). Mickael would otherwise recommend wearing an adjustable bow tie as it gives you more flexibility in tying your knot, although there is something special about having a fixed length bow tie made especially for you.

Can I measure my neck remotely?

Yes, if you contact Mickael via WhatsApp, he can let you know exactly how to measure your neck for your fixed length bow tie.

What is the neck size range for your Ready-to-Wear bow ties?

Our RTW bow ties fit from 15" to 19". If you need a shorter or longer bow tie, please contact us via WhatsApp or email to arrange getting a bespoke bow tie made.

Your bow ties are rather expensive, why is that?

Our bow ties are not mass produced in a factory, but made by hand by expert tailors. They are the result of more than a decade of dedication to the craft. The guidance you get from Mickael is equal to none when it comes to bow ties. Our long-term loyal customers ranging from Savile Row tailoring houses to Couture Houses are proof of our outstanding standards and expertise.

Are your bow ties available in shops?

Yes, first and foremost, you can visit our showroom in East London, where Mickael will welcome you and talk you through the different shapes and fabrics.
You can also visit Gaziano & Girling at 39 Savile Row in Mayfair, London, where the trained team will guide you through our Ready-to-Wear collection, available to purchase in store.
We also have partners around the globe stocking our bow ties.

There are so many different bow ties, how can I make sure I choose the right one?

Choosing your bow tie is similar to choosing a pair of glasses in the sense that your bow tie should complement your facial features. For more in depth advice, you can contact Mickael directly on WhatsApp.

I am not based in London to choose my bow tie, is this a problem?

Not at all, you can directly chat to Mickael on WhatsApp and exchange pictures of what you will be wearing so he can guide you towards the right choice. Don't be shy, this is something he does on a daily basis!

I want a very specific shape of bow tie that is not available Ready-to-Wear, can you help?

Yes, Mickael designs, cuts and makes bespoke bow ties for private customers. If you have a clear idea of what you would like, please get in touch via WhatsApp.

I am getting a suit made at my tailor and would like the exact matching fabric to my lapels, is this something you can do?

Yes, sometimes. The fabric used for facings is not always suitable to be turned into bow ties for different technical reasons. We recommend, when similar enough, to use fabrics made especially for bow ties, such as the ones we use. If you want the exact matching fabric to your lapels, please get in touch to discuss with Mickael so he can give you more advice.

Do you also make cummerbunds?

Yes, we now offer two different styles of cummerbunds to match our RTW bow ties. Click here to see the collection and let us know if you have any questions. We also make cummerbunds bespoke, if you need a smaller or larger size than is available in our Ready-to-Wear offering.

What is your return policy?

You can return your Ready-to-Wear bow tie/cummerbund up to 14 days after receiving your order. Your bow tie/cummerbund must be unworn and in its original packaging. If you are unsure what shape is right for you, please contact Mickael directly via WhatsApp to avoid any disappointment when receiving your bow tie. Bespoke bow ties are non refundable.

I want to learn more about Black Tie, can you recommend anything to read?

The one and only book dedicated to the dress code is Mickael's own book, Modern Black Tie, available on the website.

I see you also offer tailoring, can you tell me more?

Yes, we offer Made-to-Measure tailoring, focusing on black tie but not exclusively. You can follow this link for more information: Made-to-Measure.
