Last updated: 4 September 2026

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of www.labowtique.com (the "Site") and any purchase of goods or bespoke tailoring services from la Bowtique ("we", "us", "our"). By placing an order or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

2. Products and Services

We sell two categories of item:

a) Ready-to-Wear goods — bow ties, accessories, and other stocked items purchased directly through the Site. Some styles may be made-to-order depending on the stock levels, which might mean a slightly longer time before receiving your order.

b) Bespoke and Made-to-Measure tailoring — dinner suits, jackets, and other garments made or adjusted to your individual specification. Bespoke commissions are governed by these Terms together with our Bespoke Commission Terms, which take precedence in the event of any conflict.

3. Prices and Payment

3.1 All prices on the Site are shown in GBP (£) and exclude VAT where applicable.

3.2 We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time before an order is dispatched or a commission accepted, and will contact you if this affects your order.

3.3 Payment for ready-to-wear goods is taken in full at checkout. Payment for bespoke commissions is governed by the deposit and staged-payment terms set out in our Bespoke Commission Terms.

4. Orders and Acceptance

4.1 Placing an order through the Site is an offer to buy, which we may accept or decline. A contract is formed only once we confirm acceptance (e.g. by order confirmation email or, for commissions, written confirmation following consultation).

4.2 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including where an item is unexpectedly out of stock, pricing was incorrect, or we reasonably suspect fraud.

5. Delivery

Delivery timeframes, costs, and international shipping terms are set out in our Delivery Policy. Risk in ready-to-wear goods passes to you on delivery.

6. Cancellation and Returns

6.1 For ready-to-wear goods bought online, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, subject to the conditions in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

6.2 Bespoke, Made-to-Measure, and personalised items are exempt from the 14-day cancellation right under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, as they are made to your specification. Cancellation of a bespoke commission is instead governed by our Bespoke Commission Terms.

7. Faulty or Misdescribed Goods

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for purpose; services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and for a reasonable price where not agreed in advance.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, images, logos, and the Modern Black Tie publication — is owned by or licensed to La Bowtique and may not be reproduced without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site or our products and services.

9.2 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
