We’re back from Japan and Thailand, and here is what we were up to…

Japan

So in Tokyo, we met with our agent, Marukishi, who represents Harrison’s, Fox Brothers, Maison Hellard, and other specialists in the tailoring trade. We also connected with key department stores as we continue to grow internationally, and we also hosted a Black Tie talk for 18 attendees, all in the tailoring trade, sharing insights into what we do at la Bowtique and our unique approach to evening wear.

Bangkok
Then on to Bangkok, where we spent time with the team at The Decorum. They stock our products, and we delivered another Black Tie talk in a similar format, and it was nice to finally meet the whole team in person.

What stood out most for me was seeing the level of interest from customers on the other side of the world. People seem genuinely keen to learn more about Black Tie, and it’s definitely made me think about hosting more talks, both in the UK and internationally. And I can’t quite believe I had to go to Japan and to Thailand to realise that.
Stepping away from the showroom also gave me a fresh perspective on the value of what we do and how it’s received globally, which sometimes is hard to perceive from the showroom in London.

I want to thank the teams at Marukishi and at The Decorum, to everyone who joined the talks. And if you’d ever like to host something similar, feel free to get in touch.
